Life Groups:
We talk a lot around here about how community changes us. But what does that really look like? When we commit to a Life Group, a smaller community within the bigger church, we are changed. We make sacrifices of time and effort weekly for the Lord and for one another. As we show up at each meeting and in each relationship, we form there, God provides both encouragement and exhortation through our group members. We become responsible to and for each other, which is a beautiful gift of friendship in Christ. Within this kind of community, we can’t help but be changed into the men and women and church that God wants us to be. And what more could we hope for? Register today for a Life Group! The Bridge Dinner:
The annual Bridge fundraiser dinner is coming up, September 23rd, held here at Calvary. The Bridge Restoration Ministry is a wonderful ministry created for men and women battling addiction. This is a pervasive issue in our world, and we know the destruction of addiction touches all of us in some way. Join us in supporting the Bridge by attending this upcoming banquet, prepared by the Bridge's own Culinary Program. After a delicious dinner, there will be a graduation ceremony for residents who have successfully completed their year in the program, a Raffle, Silent Auction, and Live Auction! Visit the Bridge website to purchase tickets. If you are onsite visit the Welcome table to chat with one of the Bridge ministry leaders.
Young Adults Gathering:
Next Sunday, September 11th, is our next Young Adults Gathering. If you are between the ages of 18 and 29, we would love to have you join us for an evening of hanging out, dinner, worship, and a special teaching by one of our pastors. We will be meeting at 6pm in the Grille. Our hope is that young adults will come together to meet new friends and grow in their faith. Visit calvary.com/events for more information.
