Monterey County Foster Care Ornaments:
WOW! Last Sunday we were able to connect 150 children in the Monterey County Foster Care system with amazing people who will be blessing them with Christmas gifts. Thank you, Calvary, for helping us be a great witness of Christ to our neighbors in need. We have about 30 children who are still needing to be shopped for. If you missed out last week or would like to shop for another child, please visit the Welcome Center after service to sign out an ornament and get instructions. We wanted to remind you that gifts are due next Sunday! Gifts can be dropped off in the Welcome Center. Thanks again for extending love to these children and our community.
A Special Evening with Dr. JP Moreland:
We are excited to be welcoming Dr. JP Moreland as a special guest speaker next Sunday, December 4th.
Dr. Moreland will be sharing a special message titled “Getting Rid of Guilt and Shameful Feelings and Learning to Forgive.” He will be focusing on what true forgiveness is and what it isn't, what the benefits are for giving and receiving forgiveness, and how God is our example of true forgiveness. These are powerful lessons that we all need a deeper understanding of and a reminder of God's perfect gift of love and forgiveness. Invite your believing and unbelieving friends and family to join you for this special evening. There will be a Q&A time following Dr. Moreland's message that will be open to questions about any topic, including questions, doubts, or concerns about the faith. Middle School and High School students are encouraged to join their parents in the Sanctuary. Childcare will be provided upon registration. Starting at 4:30pm the Grille will be selling Greek wraps for adults and chicken strips for kids. After Dr. Moreland's teaching, there will be delicious holiday treats on the patio for everyone. Christmas Services:
Join us this year as we celebrate the greatest gift that was given to us, Jesus! On Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th, we will be holding three services at 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm. We'll sing, listen, reflect, and rejoice in what Christmas really means. Children will be invited to join their families for service, and there will be multiple seating options indoors and out. The Grille will be serving a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner before and after services. And of course, we'll have our annual family photo booth and Christmas treats.
The next morning, Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25th, we will have one service at 10am. This will be a family service with kids sitting with their families. It will be a simple but lovely service and we'll have coffee and a morning treat available for all who come.
Please consider serving during a Christmas weekend service by volunteering to help with greeting, passing out treats, coffee and cocoa stations, parking, ushering, and more. Visit our website to sign up. Hope you can all join us for a Merry Christmas at Calvary.

Through this 9 week class rooted in biblical wisdom, you’ll learn how to tackle budgeting, pay off debt, and steward your money with skill. Calvary staff and volunteers will lead you through the course designed by Dave Ramsey and his team of financial experts. Sign up today on our website. The course starts Monday, January 26th at 6:30pm in Sanctuary 2. Childcare will be available upon registration.
